Keith Wilson, MD, of HealthCare Partners/Talbert Medical Group Appointed to California's Financial Solvency Standards Board

Keith Wilson, MD, regional medical director for HealthCare Partners Medical Group and former CEO of Talbert Medical Group, which merged with HealthCare Partners in May of this year, has been appointed to California’s Financial Solvency Standards Board (FSSB). As a member of the board, Dr. Wilson will help the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) appropriately respond to federal regulations that have a fiscal impact on the state’s healthcare system. The DMHC acts as a watchdog over the health maintenance organizations (HMOs) in the state. Dr. Wilson is one of eight appointees to the board.

We will need knowledgeable and concerned people from a variety of areas of our industry to solve the issues currently facing the state’s and the nation’s healthcare system.”

A board-certified gynecologist and obstetric surgeon, Dr. Wilson earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed his residency at Martin Luther King, Jr.-Drew Medical Center, where he became the chief executive resident. Dr. Wilson is a recipient of the Physician Executive Award of Excellence given by the American College of Physician Executives. He is the current chairman of the California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG).
