TORRANCE, Calif., September 21, 2012 – HealthCare Partners Medical Group today announced that it has been named a top-performing medical group in California for the ninth year in a row by the not-for-profit Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA).

The award is part of the IHA's Pay for Performance program, the nation's largest physician incentive program, which rewards medical groups for their performance in areas related to quality.  IHA (www.iha.org) is a statewide leadership group that promotes quality improvement, accountability, and affordability of healthcare in California.  In earning the IHA award, HealthCare Partners was compared to approximately 200 California physician groups representing approximately 35,000 physicians providing care for 10 million California members.

IHA awards are based on three Pay For Performance (P4P) quality measurement domains; meaningful use of health IT, patient experience, and clinical measures including the management of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases and diabetes.
“HealthCare Partners is very proud to be recognized once again for the work we do to ensure that our patients receive all the health benefits of coordinated care,” said Dr. Robert Margolis, managing partner and CEO of HealthCare Partners Medical Group. “This honor affirms our coordinated approach to care and all that it does to keep our patients healthy.”
